VIA Cord Blood Stem Foundation was found as a charity organization. It is officially registered under the provision and guidelines of the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, Republic of China (Taiwan).

Virtues of VIA Cord Blood Stem Foundation include:
1. Manifestation of the sacrificial and healing spirits of Christ Jesus by sharing His Gospel of Salvation and the medical benefits of employing stem cells , so that the true value of Faith , Hope and Love of Christianity may be glorified.
2. Categories of our operation cover four areas:
  • Promote public awareness of the importance of cord blood storage.
  • Pursue advanced research related to stem cells.
  • establish a life-long storage program of stem cells at different stages (neonatal and adult) for the purposes of self-usage as well as donation to others in need.
  • accomplish of the goal of holistic caring of human lives by means of stem cell storage, DNA banking and gene therapy.

In order to achieve our goal for providing free services of cord blood storage to babies of under-privileged families of various ethnic groups, we call upon the charity donation of the public enterprises as well as the participation of those individual families in our “self-paid storage program”, in which the service charge covers the newborn of their own and the newborn of a underprivileged family. All these families are invited to join our program of holistic development of the youth; “Growing together in Love” such that our babies of VIA Cord Blood Stem Foundation will share life experience together. The Foundation believes in the value of creating the right niche to nurture the development of noble world citizens of the future.

In collaboration with National Yang-Ming University and Chung-Yuan Christian University at Taiwan, we are pursing advance research in the application of stem cells. Also, in order to make the storage of cord blood more accessible to the general public; we will promote the use of a Charity Card issued by Hwa-Nan Commercial Bank in Taiwan and her associated networks. With the endorsement of many renowned philanthropists, humanitarians, scholars, researchers and clinicians to our cause, we are optimistic about the success of launching the Charity Card through MasterCard International.
